The latter part of the 15th century when these three lived was the Age of Provincial Wars. During this time, many warriors had ambitions to dominate the whole country and were continuously fighting each other.

These stones had to be brought 110 kilometers (68miles) from Shodo Island, and it is said that particularly large stones were suspended in the sea so that the buoyancy lightened them slightly, making it easier for the boats to transport them.


As ruler of all Japan, Hideyoshi held tremendous powers as well as a great deal of money and treasures.
His Osaka Castle is very famous, along with its Golden Tea Room.
